More information — How it works

Once applied to the leaf, LeafCalco® comes into contact with the moisture on the leaf surface and releases active ions that act in the plant in two complementary directions:

1. Structural role — the plant becomes stronger
Calcium ions bind to the pectates in the cell walls, strengthen the structure of leaves, tissues and fruits, stabilizing cell membranes. The result is a natural barrier and increased mechanical resistance.

2. Metabolic role — the plant becomes more efficient
Hydroxyl ions (OH⁻) activate key enzymes, accelerate metabolic processes, reduce oxidative stress and stimulate natural defense mechanisms. At the cellular level, a slightly optimized pH is created, which increases enzymatic activity and reduces the pressure of stress factors (which prefer an acidic environment).

On the leaf surface, the ultrafine layer formed reflects solar radiation, reduces water loss through transpiration and creates a physical barrier against stress factors, while allowing the plant to breathe normally.

What makes LeafCalco® different from other calcium foliar products?

LeafCalco® combines an exceptionally high concentration of calcium (>90% CaO) with ultrafine particle technology (0–20 microns) and the presence of active hydroxyl ions (OH⁻). Unlike classic liquid products, it evenly covers the leaf surface, interacts directly with the stomata and simultaneously activates both the cellular structure and the metabolism of the plant.

Can I apply it in a mixture with pesticides?

Yes, LeafCalco® is compatible with most plant protection products. A prior compatibility test is always recommended. The use of a penetrating adjuvant is mandatory for optimal results.

Why is it important to comply with the dosage?

Internal tests show that the optimal dosage (500 g/ha for wheat) generates an increase of +1.1 t/ha, while doubling the dosage reduces the effect to +0.5 t/ha. The correct dosage maximizes the result.
