Those ‘micro-pollutants’ make up a small proportion of the flue gases and their authorized emission levels are usually close to detection level. Activated carbons come with several challenges and the product requires adequate safety measures (ATEX zone). Another challenge is ensuring the right spread of the small amount of reagent through the entire flue gas flow, so as to reach the lowest emission level requested.
CleanCalco® FGC-AC is an ‘all-in-one’ homogeneous and tailor-made product. It contains activated carbon to mitigate micro-pollutants and hydrated lime to remove acidic pollutants. The quantity of activated carbon contained is customized to fit the particular need of each flue gas cleaning process. The final product is safer to use (no ATEX) and as the mix is homogeneous, the spread of the activated carbon through the entire flow is easier.
