CLEANCALCO® FBC

In situ flue gas cleaning in a fluidized bed boiler is a growing trend. Among other benefits, it enables flexibility in the fuel properties entering the system. Limestone used in a system like this should have a tight particle size distribution. This enables the limestone to fit the bed characteristics and to remain in the bed as long as possible, thus maximizing contact time. The second critical property of limestone is its reactivity: limestone’s decarbonation in the bed should be smooth with low decrepitation, in order to keep its physical properties (grain size) over time.

CleanCalco® FBC product offers a high consistency in particle size distribution, in order to maintain the behaviour of the product in the bed. The limestone’s chemical purity and reactivity are also well controlled, so as to offer best results while keeping operations smooth and cost-optimized. CleanCalco® FBC is delivered fully milled, with constant particle size, fitting the requirements of the boiler.
