We are pleased to announce that Carmeuse has acquired the stake of the Gnecci Family in Unicalce (Italy), the Italian leader in lime and derivative products.
After almost 30 years of partnership, the company will now be fully integrated into Carmeuse. This step is a natural continuation of the strong collaboration between Carmeuse and Unicalce over the years and reinforces our long-term commitment to the Italian market.
Unicalce, founded in 1923, has been a key player in the Italian lime industry for over a century. Carmeuse has been involved in the Italian operations since 1998. Today, Unicalce employs approximately 500 people and operates 11 sites across Italy, serving customers in both lime and premix products.
The Unicalce-Carmeuse integration strengthens our European footprint and creates new opportunities for collaboration and growth, allowing us to closely work together to build a strong future for our customers and communities.
