River Rouge continues support of the local STEM Academy in Detroit.

Young people aspiring to be Engineers, Technology Specialists, Computing Programmers, Applied Science professionals and more can always use a helping hand in their pursuits. The National STEM Academy is one organization aimed at providing that help, but they themselves need support of others in the communities around them.

The local STEM organization in the River Rouge, Detroit area received that type of support from Carmeuse.  Through the Carmeuse Foundation, employees at the River Rouge Operation contributed to the wonderful cause of the STEM Academy. 

There is always a special element of future reward through STEMs efforts. As Christy Burt, Human Resources at Carmeuse noted about the young students, “With the Outstanding education they receive through the STEM program, maybe one or more of these talented young people will one day become part of the Carmeuse family!”
