Port Inland Sponsors Feeding America Truck

Port Inland Sponsors Feeding America Truck

On September 30, Carmeuse’s Port Inland operation sponsored the Feeding America Truck, which provides food to community members in need at no cost. In addition to sponsoring the truck, Port Inland employees spent the day preparing and distributing boxes of food.

Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks that secures and distributes 4.3 billion meals each year through food pantries and meal programs. Feeding America Trucks travel to distribute food, making food more accessible in underserved communities. In Port Inland, the Feeding America Truck provides food to community members monthly.

“We were happy to partake in the sponsorship and distribution of the Feeding America Truck,” said Shena Meffer. “We hope that this contribution positively impacts our community members.”
