Port Inland Donates Meals and Safety Glasses

Carmeuse’s Port Inland operation continues to support the local community and employees by donating safety gear and providing meals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meals purchased from local grocery store Jack’s Fresh Market were given to Port Inland employees in an effort to support the local store while also showing appreciation for the site’s dedicated employees.

Safety glasses were donated to local healthcare workers at Schoolcraft County Medical Care Facility and to the first responders of Manistique Public Safety who continue to serve on the frontlines during this time.

“We want to thank our local public safety and healthcare workers,” said Kathy Chase of Port Inland. “We hope the safety glasses will help to protect them as they continue to serve during this time.”
