
Luttrell Mine Rescue Team Takes First Place at Colorado Regional Contest
Carmeuse is proud to announce that the Rescue Team from our Luttrell Operation has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, securing top honors at 2025 Colorado Regional Mine Rescue Contest.
The team’s outstanding performance earned them two prestigious first-place awards, showcasing their meticulous preparation and collaborative spirit. The Luttrell team took home 1st place in the Day 2 Field Competition and also claimed the 1st place Combination award for their superior performance across the Field, First Aid, and Tech Team events.
These achievements are a testament to the unwavering commitment of every team member, who rigorously trains to ensure the highest standards of safety and readiness. The team’s victory highlights not just individual expertise, but the seamless teamwork that is critical in high-pressure emergency situations.

The 2025 Colorado Regional Mine Rescue Contest, sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Mine Rescue Council, the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety, and MSHA, brought together top mine rescue teams from across the region to test their skills in realistic emergency scenarios. The event took place from July 28-31 in Loveland, Colorado.
