Maple Grove Hosts Congressman Latta in Seneca County
On Friday, October 10th, Congressman Bob Latta and Bryce Riggs, CEO of the Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership, visited the Carmeuse Maple Grove facility in Seneca County, Ohio.
During their visit, Maple Grove representatives discussed their operations, environmental impact, and community connections with the Congressman. The visit also included a tour of the quarry, providing a firsthand look at the company's work.
The visit affirmed the role of Maple Grove Operation in the local economy.
Buffington Facility Emphasizes Domestic Steel Support
In September, the Carmeuse Buffington facility in Gary, Indiana, welcomed Congressman Frank J. Mrvan and Kevin Dempsey, President and CEO of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). Key officials from the City of Gary were also present.
The purpose of the visit was an informative tour of the Carmeuse Buffington operation, coupled with a discussion on the critical need to support a strong domestic steel industry. Carmeuse emphasized that this support is vital for its operations and for the surrounding communities in the area.
