NICU Units in the Erie area benefit from donation of baby items by Carmeuse

NICU Units deal with the lives of babies in their most fragile and vulnerable states. Donations to support the mental and physical well-being of both infants and their mothers are always a welcomed contribution.

Knowing this, Grady’s Decision, a non-profit organization in the Erie area, formed to meet the needs of families experiencing premature babies as well as children needing specialized medical attention. Their mantra, Blessing Families, One Miracle at a Time, best defines their community service.

In late December, the Erie Dock donated much needed baby items to Grady’s Decision to be distributed to the NICU Units throughout the Erie area. As Tina Elder, Human Resources Assistant at Carmeuse explains, “This is very near and dear to my heart as my twins were both NICU babies in 2000-2001.” On behalf of Carmeuse, Tina, along with the organizer of the drive, Amanda Slaney of Ashley’s pub collected and delivered items to Grady’s Decision.
