Earth Day 2023 Receives Companywide Participation from Carmeuse.

The month of April marks the celebration of Earth Day, a time to embrace the well-being of our environment on a global scope.

Carmeuse, whose own sustainability program touts a central theme of People, Planet, and Prosperity, has for several years now stepped forward during April to celebrate Earth Day across the entire company.

Out of the Pittsburgh office, Nick Bonarrigo—VP, Legal, represented Carmeuse at Pittsburgh’s Earth Day Sustainability Breakfast. The Pittsburgh organization hosts several other events including an Ecolution Fashion Gala; Music, Art & Cultural Festival; and a Green Voice Speaker Series.
Carmeuse’s entire network of production plants traditionally participate in planting trees, community clean-up efforts, recycling programs and various other environmental stewardship efforts.

Of the many activities this year, Carmeuse’s Ohio regions strategically planted trees around the region and participated in recycling at local collection points.
The Longview Operation had many of its employee’s volunteer with Cahaba Riverkeepers and Twin Oaks and Vision Farms to provide stone for repairing roadway washouts, and pick-up approximately 1,000 lbs. of trash along RiverTrace Road in the Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge.
