Carmeuse Huron supports cross country schools run

Carmeuse Huron supports cross country schools run

The Carmeuse Huron Operation provided water for this year’s Huron Cross Country Invitational, which saw 350 participants running the course in the Fall sunshine.

Huron teams performed well in their age categories. Huron High School boys placed first of four teams, while Huron High School girls placed second in a five-team field, only three points off the lead. Huron High School also claimed the top individual placings in both boys’ and girls’ events, which were run over 5K.

Huron McCormick Middle School girls rounded off a successful day for the local teams, placing first in a six-team field in their 3.2K event.

The sponsorship of the cross-country invitational continues Carmeuse Huron’s strong support for local athletic events. The company also supports the Huron 5K Series, which recently ran its third event of the season, the BGSU Firelands Falcon Fund Run.
