Carmeuse Drummond Island donates to local fire and rescue service

Carmeuse Drummond Island, Michigan, has donated $1500 to the local fire and rescue service. The Plant has been a strong and regular supporter of the local fire department and rescue services. This year’s donation was needed for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the municipal services and being in the mining industry, Carmeuse employees greatly appreciate the need and use of PPE.

“Firemen and women put their lives on the line to keep our community safe. When we heard they needed new personal and protective equipment, we were pleased to be able to help,” said Drummond Island site operations manager, Roger Nash.

Nash presented the check to Fire Chief Ben Richwine at the Drummond Island Fire and Rescue Hall on July 22, 2022.
