COVID-19 STATEMENT
We at Carmeuse Americas are committed to the health and safety of our employees, as well as, the people whose lives we touch every day – our families, our customers, our vendors and our communities. This commitment has guided our response during the COVID-19 outbreak, including us implementing precautionary response plans at each of our facilities to minimize potential impact to our employees. We continue to operate our facilities in accordance with guidance and restrictions put forward by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and government authorities.
Many of the jurisdictions in which we operate have issued stay-at-home orders in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, however those orders permit, and encourage essential businesses to remain open. The lime and limestone products we produce impacts everyday life and are essential in many industries identified in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) as Critical Infrastructure sectors. This includes treating drinking and waste water, reducing air pollution from electricity generation, production of animal feed, agricultural nutrients, as well as a necessary material for critical manufacturing industries. Consistent with guidance of stay-at-home orders in the states we operate, Carmeuse is continuing to operate as an essential supplier to these Critical Infrastructure sectors, while executing our plans to protect the health and safety of our employees and the communities we work and live in.
The seriousness of this situation and the safety of our employees is our highest priority, and we continue to work with the local sites and governments to follow the latest guidelines.
