Carmeuse Group is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of a controlling interest in Cementos Bío Bío S.A. (CBB), a Chilean publicly traded company listed on the Santiago Stock Exchange.
The Carmeuse Group has acquired a 97.1% stake in the Chilean publicly traded company. The public tender offer was finalized on the 11th of September 2025, and the notice of its result was published today in Chilean newspapers.
This strategic transaction strengthens Carmeuse’s presence in South America, building on its existing operations in Colombia and Brazil.
The acquisition of CBB aligns with Carmeuse’s strategy to increase its exposure to growth markets and diversify the end markets served. CBB enjoys a strong presence in the Chilean, Argentinian and Peruvian markets, particularly in supplying the copper and lithium mining sectors that are key drivers of regional economic growth and the construction industry in Chile and Peru.
