The water and effluents treatment

The protection of the equipment through water cooling requires a preventive treatment to avoid any deposit and formation of scale.  Carmeuse's reactive agents --milk of lime, hydrated lime and quicklime – are perfect for this treatment. 

They can also be used to adjust the acidity of the waste water or as flocculation or coagulation agents. The sludge generated by this used water can be treated with quicklime or dolomitic lime.

Respect of the environment is mandatory for the steel plants. Lime and its derivatives are used for the treatment of gas, water, and solid waste before their disposal. Carmeuse has acquired advanced expertise in the treatment of flue gas.
