In order to enhance the value of the fines generated by the ore extraction, they are agglomerated. Hgh quality agglomerates increase the productivity of the furnaces.

 

The pelletization   Crushed limestone and dolimite are used to make traditional pellets as well as direct reduction pellets. The pellets will contain all constituents required in the blast furnace slag.

 

The agglomeration   Finely ground limestone is used as a fluxing agent in the mineral mix. If the productivity of the agglomeration process must be improved, lime will partly replace limestone.  If flue gas desulphurization is necessary, the injection of limestone during the gas treatment will provide the solution. The agglomerate contains elements which will form the required blast furnace slag.
