The Carmeuse plants in Salalah, Oman are a good example of smooth operation, high efficiency, and well thought out logistics, to ensure the delivery of high-quality lime to customers
Muscat: Carmeuse Group based in Belgium in partnership with Majan Mining, Oman, has started exporting high calcium lime from its lime plant in the Salalah Free Zone (SFZ), Sultanate of Oman through Port of Salalah.
The plant is expected to reach a production capacity of 800 tonnes per day by early July’16 using the locally sourced high quality limestone.
Carmeuse has launched in 2015 its first Sustainability Award Competition. A worldwide inititative that was massively followed with 67 applications. At the end of the process in March 2016, two plants received the Award for their creativity and remarkable contribution to Sustainability.
